Key Activities of the EMISG

The EMISG is currently engaged with a number of activities related to the development of infrastructure across the region.

One of EMISG’s key activities recently has been to determine how the East Midlands’ allocation of the Capacitybuilders Consortia Development Fund (CDF) should be distributed.  More information about the CDF can be found in Regional News and Development. In short, it is a national fund of £7million, launched by Capacitybuilders in February 2007 and intended to ensure that all Infrastructure Consortia supported by ChangeUp and associated third sector infrastructure partnerships are fit for purpose and are achieving minimum standards in their planning, communication and support activities.  Part of the fund will be used to support consortia to achieve certain benchmarks within a performance framework applied nationally.

EMISG met on 5 March 2007 to decide on the allocation of CDF across the East Midlands.
