Melton Borough Voluntary Action Centre
To enable the new organisation Melton Borough Voluntary Action (a partnership of the CVS for Melton Borough and Melton Volunteer Bureau) to move into permanent accommodation located in Melton Town Centre. The premises will be developed into a Voluntary Enterprise Centre (VCS Hub) as they are physically linked to Melton CAB and are opposite community facilities and a community café bar run by volunteers .

One Stop Shop Rural Demonstration Project
The One stop Shop in Lutterworth provides office space for 9 organisations in a community building with a public atrium and meeting space, gallery and computer centre. This bid would provide a development worker to: maximise the potential of OSS, ensuring that the facilities are well used by all sections of the community; diversify the income of the OSS; explore new services which could be provided; develop the OSS as an exemplar, sharing good practice with similar emerging projects.

Since the LIO/Local Hub model is new, it is important to establish a project which will evaluate different approaches, share best practice and develop effective and collaborative ways of working to meet identified needs of groups which have previously tended to fall outside the support of infrastructure support bodies – faith groups, BME groups and those in rural communities.

Rural Extension And Community Help (Reach)
To acquire a purpose built Mobile Resource Centre (MRC) which will visit rural communities in East Northamptonshire and Corby to a pre determined timetable and dedicated Outreach Workers who, with the aid of a paid driver and volunteers, will deliver a range of infrastructure services and advice to hard to reach communities. The outreach workers will be responsible for the overall management of the MRC.

To build upon the work undertaken by the sustainability exemplar project and work undertaken by NCDA to develop the Social Enterprise Network (SEN).
To develop protocols for the support of social enterprise within the voluntary sector across the sector itself, funders, and business support, to clearly define the role of social enterprise, and an understanding of when where and how its development should be promoted.

ICT Support Service for the Nottinghamshire Voluntary Sector - Four organisations that are currently delivering on-site ICT support services in Nottinghamshire intend to consolidate their partnership by setting up a Social Enterprise to provide “single point of call” ICT support for voluntary sector and community organisations across the county of Nottinghamshire. The primary aim is to set up a technical support call centre, providing a single telephone number/point of contact that clients from across the county requiring support will be able to call on.

This project will explore the concept of a regional rural VCS hub, whether it is needed, what it will do and how it will fit with other infrastructure at regional, sub-regional and local level. Central to the project is gaining ownership of a wide range of stakeholders, including EMAN but also other infrastructure organisations providing infrastructure support in rural areas.
